In the event an Inventory Code is no longer in use, you can inactivate the code to prevent staff members in your office from using it; there is no way to permanently delete an inventory code.
Follow the steps below to inactivate an Inventory Code.
- Select Customer Setup > Codes... > Inventory. 
- Use the Search field to find the inventory code by the code name or description. Or use the Show All button to view all codes. 
- Select the Inventory Code you want to make inactive. 
- Place a check in the Make this inventory code inactive box. 
- Click Save. 
Follow the steps below to reactivate an Inventory Code.
- Select Customer Setup > Codes... > Inventory. 
- Place a check in the "Include inactive codes" box to include inactive inventory codes in your search results. 
- Use the Search field to find the Inventory Code by the code name or description.Or use the Show All button to view all codes. 
- Select the Inventory Code you want to reactivate. 
- Click OK when the “This inventory code is currently inactive.” pop-up displays. 
- Uncheck the Make this code inactive checkbox. 
- Click Save.
