Blocks are created to hold a specific amount of time on the scheduler in order to prevent appointments from being created. You can create blocks for lunch breaks, surgeries, meetings, etc.
Prior to creating a block, we recommend having an Appointment Type that describes what the block is. For example, "Lunch" or "Meeting".
Select Appointments > Scheduler.
Right-click on the appointment slot you would like to block and select New Block.
Enter the block details (e.g., time, length, appt status, appt type, office location, etc.).
If you are attempting to schedule a block over other previously scheduled appointments, check the box “Allow appointment to overbook with another appointment” to avoid issues.
This may be selected as a option under Appointments > Configuration… > Settings.
Click the Save button.
