Inventory alerts will notify you when inventory levels fall below thresholds you set. Alerts can be triggered based on a minimum quantity in stock or when your position falls below an estimated number of days on hand. Use inventory alerts to give you advance notice on when you should resupply your stock, and/or to know when levels are so low you may be losing sales.
Select Customer Setup > Codes... > Inventory.
Use the Search field to find the inventory code by the code name or description. Or use the Show All button to view all codes.
Check the Use Alert box.
Alert Message: Enter a message to inform the users that the product needs to be restocked. For example, “We’re running low on crutches. Notify the office Manager ASAP”.
Display alert when quantity falls below: Specify the threshold you wish to be alerted when your inventory reaches a certain number, or when it is completely depleted.
Click Save.
