Address verification allows users to validate addresses against the United States Postal Services (USPS) directory in order to make corrections before claims, statements, or even letters are sent to the patient. The system will automatically verify the address in real-time. Address Verification is managed in the Services section.
If Address Verification is not included in your price plan, you will be charged each time an address check is completed. .This feature will only determine if the address is on file with the USPS.
Select Patient > Patient.
Click the New Patient button or use the Search field to search through your patients.
Tip: Check the “Include inactive patients ” box to include inactive patients in your search results
Select the Patient.
Address verification is available within the Patient Info, Insurance Info, and Billing Info tab
Click the Verify Address link.
Valid addresses are indicated by a and a "This address was successfully verified" message.
Invalid addresses are flagged by a "This address is invalid" or "There may be a better address for this insured party" message.
Click the See Suggestion link to apply the suggested address. Or click Ignore to leave the address as is.
Click Save.
If the system is unable to validate the address with the USPS, you'll be given an option to Ignore the address.
