Selecting this option will link patient records to a main insured patient record, which will allow for family statements to be delivered instead of multiple single statements.
Follow the steps below to link family accounts.
Select Patient > Patient.
Use the Search field to search through your patients.
Select the (Dependent) Patient.
Click the Insurance Info tab.
Click the Link to Family button.
Use the Search field to search through your patients.
Select the Patient who is the main insured party.
Click Save.
Follow the steps below to Unlink family accounts.
Select Patient > Patient.
Use the Search field to search through your patients.
Place a check in the box to "Include inactive patients" to include inactive patients in your search results.
Select the Patient.
Click the Insurance Info tab.
Click the Unlink from [Patient] button.
Select if you want to:
Retain as active insurance.
Archive into insurance history.
Remove without archiving.
Click Unlink, then click Save.
Follow the steps below to view which dependent patient records are associated with the master patient record.
Select Patient > Patient.
Use the Search field to search through your patients.
Check the “Include inactive patients ” box to include inactive patients in your search results
Select the (Master) Patient.
Click on the Account Summary from the side panel to expand the account summary section.
Click the “List Dependents” link next to Family Account Type.
This option will only be available if the patient has dependents linked to their record. If the patient is a dependent, it will show the master patient's name and patient ID.
Click Close.
