Collection Options

Collection options can be used in the case you need to send this patient to collections.    

  1. Select Patient > Patient.

  2. Use the Search field to search through your patients. 

    Place a check in the “Include inactive patients” box to include inactive patients in your search results.

  3. Select the Patient.

  4. Click on the Billing Info tab.

  5. Navigate to the Collection Options section.

  6. Select whether you want to send a Final Demand Notice instead of a regular statement.

    Final Demand Notice is the final statement requiring payment before referring to collections or legal action.

  7. Enter the Date you are setting the patient to collections. 

  8. Enter the Reason you are sending the patient to collections.

  9. Click Save.

  10. After sending a patient to collections make sure you change the Update Claim Status for the charges on the claim owed to “Balance Due Patient” or “Collections”
