Since the initial Beta release of version 10 (v10), we have made several improvements to the application based on user feedback! These release notes provide a high-level description of our main changes and enhancements to the application.
We heard you, sometimes you are busy and get pulled into other projects or have to step away from your desk. Your Session in CollaborateMD will now lock after fifteen (15) minutes of inactivity. Once you enter your password, you’ll be returned to the last viewed screen with any opened records, reports, etc restored. For security, if you step away for longer than ninety (90) minutes, you’ll be completely logged out of CollaborateMD.
Have you ever lost your place and forgot which sections or records you were working in? To help you find your place, we added an indicator to the section/screen title within the navigation menu to let you know when a record is still open. It acts as a bookmark even if you navigate away from that screen.
Who doesn’t like shortcuts? We hope you love to save time because we added keyboard shortcuts throughout the application. Reference the "Keyboard Shortcuts" within the Help Menu for complete details.
We updated various locations throughout the application to show negative values in red font.
An improved 'Expand All' option within the tracking screens lets you expand or collapse individual rows by just selecting the option.
Do you wish there was an easier way to see if a record has any notes? Now there is! We added an indicator to the Notes side panel to let you know if the record you have open has any notes.
We added support for "Other" date ranges to the load/save filter sets on all control/tracker/batch printing screens.
Who doesn’t love more automation? Select fields (e.g., practice, provider, referring, facility, and payer) will now auto-populate when using the "lookup" option when only one active record exists within the customer.
It has never been easier to download data snapshots. We added the ability for users to download data snapshots directly from the User Menu.
When you are in the zone and creating claims quickly you no longer need to stop and use the mouse to click the magnifying glass to search for a code. We updated various code fields throughout the application to open the corresponding search window by just pressing the <Enter> key with that field is selected.
- We are passionate about saving you as much time as possible. So we made it even easier to locate permissions within the user or role screens by adding a handy search bar.
Do you like to move-it, move-it? Make yourself at home in the claim section, because now you can easily reorder the columns within the charges tab just by right-clicking on the column you would like to move.
You now have more visibility when adding authorizations to claims. After clicking the link to add an authorization you will see the authorization start/end date.
We’re all about fewer clicks; more action. The charges table in the Claim screen will now auto-populate the DOS field for new charges based on the date of any other changes on the claim.
We made it easier to identify the code that will be used for the Admission Type, Admission Source, and Patient Status fields under the Additional Info tab for Institutional Claims.
To make finding claims even easier, we updated the claim search process to order the results by DOS by default.
Scrolling is so overrated, so we’ve updated the Claim screen to allow you to expand and collapse insurance information in order to make all 3 payer fields visible without scrolling.
So many payers, so little time to figure out which payer is the one you need. We added the effective and termination dates to the insurance policy search window within the Payer fields of the Claim screen so you can quickly identify the one you want.
We want you to know exactly what is owed to you without the stress of calculations. Within the payment tab of an open claim, the system will now automatically display the claim balance based on any payments made.
Don’t worry about overlooking claim errors, we’ve made it easier to identify by highlighting codes with errors from the latest claim review results.
One extra click can really add up, so we’ve updated the process of adding information codes to Institutional Claims, removing the need to click 'Add' after each code.
Want to locate the claims for a patient you were recently working in? Now you can! All it takes is a simple click of a button and you can locate claims for any patient you have recently accessed.
We added the remittance code information to the appropriate status entries within Claim Tracker. Yay!
For your convenience, we updated the process for finding clearinghouse/payers reports for a particular tracking status.
Claim Batch Print
Have you ever wanted to open a patient record or a claim from the Claim Batch Print search results? That’s now a possibility with the shortcuts we added, taking you directly where you need to go.
Statement Batch Print
We thought it would be nice to know how many total statements and selected statements there are from within the Statement Batch Print screen, so we added it to the bottom of the search results.
To make it more accessible, we added the Tax ID change request feature to the Provider screen.
Doing things one by one can be time-consuming, so we added the ability to update the fields within the provider eligibility configuration table in a batch (either for all payers or selected payers).
To take the guesswork out of choosing the correct payer, we added the Plan Name directly in the Payer window so you can easily identify the payer you want. .
You can now see the complete code description from the code search results window making it easier to find and choose the correct code.
No one likes a “hoverer”, except when they offer tips. Take advantage of our new tooltips that show for all code fields when you hover over them.
You can now search less, with a new “Show All” option in the codes lookup screens.
The Scheduler screen now conveniently allows you to search for appointments by the patient's DOB within the appointment simple search screen.
The Scheduler search results window now includes a “sort” feature that will allow the user to sort appointments in ascending or descending order and will remember your preference between uses.
We added the ability to view the following information within the Appointment screen: create date/user, update date/user, delete date/user, reminder date, reminder response.
Get the most out of CMD's appointment editor by using our new “More” button, with options to check for duplicate patients and view a patient’s appointment history.
We don’t want you to hurt your fingers with excessive scrolling, so we’ve decreased the row height of the appointment search results. This will maximize the number of results shown and minimize the time you spend scrolling.
We are always working to limit the number of clicks needed to complete actions. To minimize the time spent updating appointment statuses manually, we implemented a new Appointment Control screen that allows you to find and update appointment statuses for multiple appointments at once.
We upgraded the report printing and exporting to take into account the current sorting applied to the results table.
We want your printed reports to be “as seen on CMD” so we updated the report printing to take into account when a user has reordered or hidden columns within the results table prior to printing.
Put away the calculator! You can now select multiple numeric cells to see their sum, average and total count throughout any table in the application.
Sometimes you just need a fresh start, so we added the ability to quickly and easily clear all the selections within the EOB auto generated report.
We Implemented a tooltip to the remittance code fields when posting or viewing insurance checks.
We added a totals field to the insurance payment screens.
CMD remembers, so you don’t have to. We updated the insurance payment screen to remember the applied column sorting when adding or viewing claim payment details.
While posting an insurance check, the claim payment screen now includes the start, applied, and end balance information.
Would you like more control and visibility into your account? We added a username column to the Payment Tracker search results table so you can see who posted each payment.
It’s like a magical sorting hat, you can now sort the Status columns on ERAs for better visibility.
To make things more simple, you now have the ability to add new insured parties along with the policy regardless of whether or not a previous insured party already exists.
Want to take your multitasking to the next level? The search window in the Patient screen now allows you to open multiple patients at the same time.
We updated the Insurance Information tab of the Patient screen to reduce scrolling required to view party/policy information.
Interested in maximizing your time? You can create a payer within the patient’s insurance screen.
We've given you the space you need! Patient Notes can be expanded for full screen viewing, making it easier to view multiple notes at once.
We added the service type code along with the descriptions within the Eligibility/Benefits report.
Patient Activity Report
You can never have too many options! We added more ways to view the Patient Activity Report. You can now see Charge Modifier codes and/or filter by Practice or Provider.
For your viewing pleasure, you can quickly expand and collapse all line items on the patient activity report.
Be on the lookout for various shortcuts from the patient activity report - including an option to 'Open Check'.
